Kevin Feige, the producer behind every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie since Iron Man, was among the newest batch of Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees announced on Monday, June 26 by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Feige, who is also the president of Marvel Studios, was born in Boston in 1973 and started his Marvel career in 2000 with "X-Men," according to Rotton Tomatoes.
The newly-minted Walk of Fame honoree is known as the highest-grossing producer of all time.
Feige moved to Westfield, New Jersey when he was 8, and later attended the University of Southern California.
Feige was not the only new honoree with a Massachusetts connection.
Michael Schur, who worked on the hit series "The Office" as a producer and writer and co-created "Parks and Recreation," was also added to the exclusive list.
Schur followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from Harvard in 1997.
Feige was accompanied on the list by another Marvel icon. Chadwick Boseman, known for his starring role in "Black Panther," received a posthumous Walk of Fame Star.
Feige is currently working on multiple upcoming Marvel movies, including "The Marvels," set to premiere in 2023.
